Epigram Books was founded in 2011 to publish and champion Singaporean literature. It has since evolved into the non-profit Epigram Literary Foundation, expanding its mission to support not only local authors but also the broader Southeast Asian literary community.
Its catalogue comprises over 500 fiction and non-fiction titles from Singapore and Southeast Asia, including novels, children’s books, graphic novels, cookbooks, memoirs and short story collections. A regular multi-award winner at the annual Singapore Book Awards, the Foundation also runs the annual Epigram Books Fiction Prize, which is open to writers from across Southeast Asia. To encourage regional collaborations and bring more voices to print, it signed publishing agreements with five ASEAN publishers at the 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair. Through these partnerships, the four winning entries of the Epigram Books Fiction Prize will be released across Southeast Asian countries over the next three to five years.
Felinda gives Singapore books passports. As Rights and Sales Manager at Epigram Books, she works with publishers around the world to bring Singapore stories to new readers through translation, licensing, and international publishing partnerships.
Yuka spends an unreasonable amount of time thinking about sentences, schedules and the small miracle of a book making it to print. She is an editor at Epigram Books, where she works mainly on non-fiction and custom publishing projects—the sort that involve many moving parts, many emails and, eventually, a book.
